Tenancy Rights

Council housing is usually let on a Secure Tenancy and Housing Associations on an Assured Tenancy.  Both types of tenancy offer tenants similar security of tenure. 

 

Some Housing Associations may offer a one year introductory tenancy to new tenants.  This will be converted to an assured tenancy after one year providing the terms of the introductory tenancy have not been broken.
