Choosing Properties

Properties are advertised every Thursday on this website and in the Thurrock Gazette Property Section. Adverts provide property information, location and landlord details to help you decide which properties are right for you.

Wherever possible photographs of properties will be included. You can bid for properties where the registration band and number of bedrooms appearing in the advert match your household's needs.

Some properties are designated only for certain groups of people.  These are indicated on the website by the following signs

Community Alarm

shows that the property is connected to the community alarm service and is reserved for people aged 60+ or people of any age who have a permanent physical or sensory disability

Over 55

shows that the property is Sheltered and reserved for older people wanting independence with security. You must be 60+ or 55 – 59 years and in receipt of high rate DLA (Disability Living Allowance)

Disabled clients

‘Wheelchair symbol’ shows that the property is wheelchair accessible or has been adapted and that priority will be given to bids from any households assessed as needing these adaptations.
